“O who you believe, extoll ALLAH with much of extolment and exalt him morning & afternoon (Al Ahzaab 33:41,42)
The morning and evening Azkar (Adhkar – Supplications) are an easy yet greatly virtuous way to worship ALLAH and attain his mercy, protection & forgiveness. Morning & Evening Azkars are the sunnah way of our Prophet Muhammad SAAW remembering ALLAH at the beginning of the day (After Fajr – till sunrise) and towards the end of the day (After Asar – till sunset).
In the Quran at 15 different places ALLAH commanded us to remember ALLAH in morning and evening, he – the almighty even said everything from the creation glorifies ALLAH subhanwatawla.
“The Sun doesn’t rise except that all of ALLAH’s creation glorify ALLAh with praises except for the Devils & Foolish Humans” (Ibn Al-Sunn)
“So be patient, Verily the Promise of Allah is true and ask forgiveness for thy fault, and hallow the praise of thy Lord in the evening and in the morning” (Ghafir 40:55)
Remembering ALLAH at these 2 times when the sun is rising & setting ie, 1 marks the beginning of the day and other marks the beginning of the night, is the best times to ponder over ALLAH’s power and Might. This will create an awe in our heart for the lord of the worlds thus bring us closer to ALLAH.
In these Morning & Evening Adhkars we admit our servitude and affirm ALLAH’s lordship, thereby increasing our Tawkkul in ALLAH, Fear of ALLAH’s might, Love for ALLAH and Hope in ALLAH’s Mercy.
By remembering ALLAH in the day & night, we are gaining immense blessing during the day & night, along with blessing we are getting his assistance in terms of his support in our daily life and protection from the evil resulting in contentment in our life.
In this post, we are sharing the morning & evening Adhkar, Adhkars specific to morning and evening are in other posts.
