    1. إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ
    84|1|When the sky is ruptured.
    2. وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ
    84|2|And hearkens to its Lord, as it must.
    3. وَإِذَا الْأَرْضُ مُدَّتْ
    84|3|And when the earth is leveled out.
    4. وَأَلْقَتْ مَا فِيهَا وَتَخَلَّتْ
    84|4|And casts out what is in it, and becomes empty.
    5. وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ
    84|5|And hearkens to its Lord, as it must.
    6. يَا أَيُّهَا الْإِنْسَانُ إِنَّكَ كَادِحٌ إِلَى رَبِّكَ كَدْحًا فَمُلَاقِيهِ
    84|6|O man! You are laboring towards your Lord, and you will meet Him.
    7. فَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِيَ كِتَابَهُ بِيَمِينِهِ
    84|7|As for him who is given his book in his right hand.
    8. فَسَوْفَ يُحَاسَبُ حِسَابًا يَسِيرًا
    84|8|He will have an easy settlement.
    9. وَيَنْقَلِبُ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ مَسْرُورًا
    84|9|And will return to his family delighted.
    10. وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِيَ كِتَابَهُ وَرَاءَ ظَهْرِهِ
    84|10|But as for him who is given his book behind his back.
    11. فَسَوْفَ يَدْعُو ثُبُورًا
    84|11|He will call for death.
    12. وَيَصْلَى سَعِيرًا
    84|12|And will enter the Blaze.
    13. إِنَّهُ كَانَ فِي أَهْلِهِ مَسْرُورًا
    84|13|He used to be happy among his family.
    14. إِنَّهُ ظَنَّ أَنْ لَنْ يَحُورَ
    84|14|He thought he would never return.
    15. بَلَى إِنَّ رَبَّهُ كَانَ بِهِ بَصِيرًا
    84|15|In fact, his Lord was watching him.
    16. فَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِالشَّفَقِ
    84|16|I swear by the twilight.
    17. وَاللَّيْلِ وَمَا وَسَقَ
    84|17|And by the night, and what it covers.
    18. وَالْقَمَرِ إِذَا اتَّسَقَ
    84|18|And by the moon, as it grows full.
    19. لَتَرْكَبُنَّ طَبَقًا عَنْ طَبَقٍ
    84|19|You will mount stage by stage.
    20. فَمَا لَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
    84|20|What is the matter with them that they do not believe?
    21. وَإِذَا قُرِئَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقُرْآنُ لَا يَسْجُدُونَ
    84|21|And when the Quran is read to them, they do not bow down?
    22. بَلِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يُكَذِّبُونَ
    84|22|In fact, those who disbelieve are in denial.
    23. وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يُوعُونَ
    84|23|But God knows what they hide inside.
    24. فَبَشِّرْهُمْ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ
    84|24|So inform them of a painful punishment.
    25. إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍ
    84|25|Except those who believe and do good deeds; they will have an undiminished reward.
